Harwich Junior Theatre (HJT) presents the Tony Award winning Big River on February - March 18, 7:30 pm Fridays & Saturdays, 2 pm Sundays, March 17, 2 pm additional matinee.

Big River features a bluegrass and country score by Roger Miller, with book by William Hauptman, that is true to Mark Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. This timeless American musical sweeps down the mighty Mississippi as the irrepressible Huck Finn helps his friend Jim, a slave, escape to freedom. Their adventures along the way are hilarious, suspenseful and heartwarming.
