Classical Concert @ Dennis Union Church

Eventide Arts is honored to present the renown violinist Benjamin Thacher and classical pianist Diana Aidos in concert, March 30th and 31st at the Dennis Union Church. This two-night-only performance will be the first Cape concert for Thacher since he last performed in 2008 with the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra. It will be the first Cape appearance for Diana Aidos.
Thacher, a Cape Cod native met the Russian-born Aidos in 2009 while they were both studying at the San Francisco Conservatory. They married this past summer and are currently living in Boise, ID, where they are both employed at ArtsWest Performing Arts School in Eagle, Idaho.
Thacher is the director of classical music at ArtsWest and is the associate concertmaster of the Boise Philharmonic. He received a BA in violin performance from the New England Conservatory of Music before persuing graduate studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He has performed with various symphonies around New England, has played at Carnegie Hall and other prestigious venues around the world.
One of the selections he will perform at the Eventide Arts concert is Johann Sebastian Bach’s Partita No. 3 in E major BWV 1006 for solo violin.
Diana Aidos is an award-winning pianist having earned top prizes at international competitions including the International Siberia Piano Competition in Novosibirsk, and the Tolyatti Piano Competition in Russia. As a concerto soloist, she has performed with the Kazakh National Symphony Orchestra, the Shenzhen Music Academy Chamber Orchestra, and the International Program of Cooperation affiliated with the Paris National Conservatory of Music. She is currently a member of the piano faculty and director of the after-school music program at ArtsWest .
