Artist Reception & Kentucky Derby Party @ Momo's Food Emporium

I’ve had a love for photography since the early 80’s when I got my first camera, a 35mm Konica Ft-Motor SLR camera, a camera that I still have today.  Living in Canton, MA I had the opportunity to photograph cityscapes, seascapes, and landscapes in and around the greater Boston area.  Then, photography took a back seat to raising a family.  With kids fully grown and out of college, I “rediscovered” my interest in photography when my wife and I moved to Cape Cod in 1993.

My interests are working in digital, photographing early morning and late evening landscapes & seascapes. The beauty of Cape Cod is best captured in the first rays of a new dawn as the world awakens around us and then again in the evening as the sun sets on a quiet salt marsh or perhaps a fishing boat, heading back to harbor with their catch. Most recently my interests have turned to bird photography.  Monitoring Osprey nests for the  Audubon Society has given me a greater understanding of the behavior of Osprey as well as giving me a greater appreciation for the myriad of shorebirds that thrive here on the Cape.

Photography allows me the opportunity to “see the world literally through a different prism” and then recreating it,  as my mind’s eye sees it,  on a digital canvas.
