Auditions for 'Cabaret' @ South Cape Village rehearsal space

Where: CCFTA's Rehearsal Space, 6 Joy Street, South Cape Village, Mashpee
Director Kiley Donovan, Music Director Glenn Starner-Tate, and Choreographer Pam Wills will be holding auditions for this summer’s production of CABARET at Cotuit Center for the Arts, running August 2 to 26 from Thursday to Sunday.

Auditions will be held at our rehearsal space near Roche Brothers in Mashpee (South Cape Village). Here is the map link: http://
Please arrive at the indicated start time and wear clothes for movement. The audition will consist of group song, individual “voice checks”, group dance (especially important for Ensemble roles, Emcee, and Sally), and reading of sides. Actors auditioning for one of the principal roles will stay after the group rehearsal; please prepare an appropriate piece and bring the accompanying music for piano.

Master of Ceremonies (Emcee) [male / tenor / 18 +]: “The Host at the Kit Kat Club…A bizarre little figure – much lipstick, much rouge.”
Sally Bowles [female / alto / 18 – 35]: “A British cabaret singer…rather pretty, rather sophisticated, rather child-like, exasperating, and irresistible.”
Clifford Bradshaw [male / baritone / 18 – 35]: “An American novelist…pleasant looking, intelligent, reserved.”
Fraulein Schneider [female / alto / 45 – 70]: “A Berlin landlady…full of vitality, interested in everything, probably indestructible.”
Herr Schultz [male / tenor / 45 – 70]: “One of Frl. Schneider’s boarders…very warm and cheerful.”
Ernst Ludwig [male / N/A / 30 – 60]: “A friendly and likable German [who] seems rather nervous.”
Fraulein Kost [female / mezzo / 25 – 45]: “Another of Frl. Schneider’s roomers, [who] earns a living by offering favors to sailors.”
Kit Kat Klub Girls/Boys [female/male / SATB/18 – 35]: “Every night [they] have to battle to keep [them] from taking off all of their clothing!” Frenchie, LuLu, Helga, Rosie, Texas, Bobby, Victor, Max, Rudy, Hans, et al. [The Girls/Boys will comprise the Ensemble, including several speaking parts and cameos]
As this production will challenge and excite audiences with its racy, political, and gender-bending themes, auditions and rehearsals will be open to participants 18 and over only.
