Derek Teichert @ The Raw Bar

Derek was born in Corvallis, Oregon and grew up on Cape Cod, MA. Plagued by an anxiety disorder and panic attacks, he picked up the guitar at the age of 18 as a form of therapy. He began writing songs and playing for a group of devoted friends at local bars on the Cape. Without any previous formal instruction he applied to Berklee College of Music where he later graduated with a degree in songwriting in 2011. He is now playing live in Boston, Cape Cod, and Providence RI. His first EP is due out by the end of 2012.
